B and Bs With a Twist  

Newspaper clipping about Applebrook Bed and Breakfast Sometimes listening to Mom really pays off. Laura Starr, producer of the Denver, Colorado based ZBOT Productions, has worked behind the scenes as a producer and production manager in reality TV shows like "Food Network Callenege" and "The Real World," as well as series on VH1 and Country Music Television for the past six years. But her latest project was inspired by her mother suggesting she do a show about bed and breakfasts. Starr took that idea and added her own angle.

Brewster shines in the spotlight of ecotourism Last winter, the Candleberry Inn was one of three Brewster inns to become a verified Cape and Islands Green business (the others are Old Manse Inn and Captain Freeman Inn). Owners Charlotte and Stu Fyfe took steps to improve energy efficiency at the Inn and increased how and what they recycled. They make their own organic cleaning products, grow their own vegetables and herbs, and even have honey bees.
